A few photos from last year’s Phantom birthday performance in honor’s of today’s 24th birthday.

So many great memories.

The performance itself was one of the best I’ve ever seen - one of those rare times I’ve seen a great Phantom, Christine, AND Raoul all in one show (usually, it’s two out of three).

Running all the way down the stairs from the back mezzanine to join the press in those few short moments between Hugh’s final note and the beginning of the curtain call…it’s a minor miracle I made it without falling flat on my face or knocking over an usher.

My good camera had died earlier in the day so I only had a cheap point-and-shoot camera for the photo shoot…so the pictures weren’t great.

Getting a big kiss with the “rubbery lip thing” was wonderfully awkward.

Meeting Hal Prince was beyond words.  Literally.  I don’t remember what was said.  I was just so star-struck (which never happens to me…not even when I met David Bowie).  After though, I turned to Hugh and said, “OMG, HE IS SO CUTE.”
